Set it up and test it

  1. 1Choose when to forward. For a business the usual choice is «when busy» plus «when you don't answer»; «all calls» sends everything to the assistant.
  2. 2In the app, open Numbers, add the line you forward and enter the 6-digit code we send you (by SMS to mobiles, by a call to landlines). Until then calls from that line are not answered.
  3. 3Dial the activation code, then call your line from another phone.
  4. 4Check that the call arrives and that you receive the summary.
  5. 5To stop forwarding, dial the cancel code.

Questions

Does forwarding cost money?

It depends on your operator and tariff. Vodafone, for example, charges a set-up fee plus the per-minute price of the forwarded leg to the line that forwards. Check your tariff before relying on it.

Can I forward only when I don't answer?

Yes. The «when you don't answer» and «when busy» codes forward only those calls, so you keep answering yourself when you can.

How do I stop forwarding?

Dial the cancel code for that type of forwarding. With the standard codes, ##002# cancels all forwarding.

Does the assistant see which number was called?

Yes, when your operator passes the original number on a forwarded call, which is how we know which business the call is for. We confirmed it on a real forwarded mobile line; if the assistant does not answer after you forward, tell us your operator.
