Remute

Every new-client call answered and qualified

A missed call is a client who called the next firm. Remute answers, asks your intake questions, collects the names you need for a conflict check and sends a clean sheet to your inbox.

Conflicts check: pending
  • 01

    Intake questions in your order

Practice area, urgency, conflict-check details and callback number.

  • 02

    A calm, courteous voice

It represents your firm well and never over-promises.

  • 03

    Confidentiality-minded by design

Callers are told the call may be recorded; you control what is stored.

Choose the questions. Remute asks them.

Switch fields on and off to see the script it will follow on every new-client call. Name and phone are always collected.

What Remute asks, in order

  1. 01

“May I take your full name?”

  2. 02

“Which area of law is this about?”

  3. 03

“Who is on the other side? I'll take every name so the firm can run its checks.”

  4. 04

“Is there a deadline or a court date coming up?”

  5. 05

    “In a sentence, what happened?”

  6. 06

“What's the best number for a call back?”

Names first, so conflicts get checked before you call back

Remute doesn't clear conflicts; your firm does. It makes sure the names are on the sheet when you start.

  1. 01

    Caller gives their name

Full name and the best number to reach them.

  2. 02

    Other parties are captured

Everyone named on the other side, spelled back to confirm.

  3. 03

    The sheet is flagged

The summary arrives marked “conflicts check pending”.

  4. 04

    A person decides

You run your check, then call back or decline.

  • No legal advice
  • No promise of representation
  • Names spelled back

Confidentiality you configure

What the caller hears first, what you control, and what Remute never does.

What the caller hears first (example)
“This is the intake line for Hartwell and Stone. I'm an automated assistant. I can't give legal advice, and speaking with me doesn't make you a client. This call may be recorded.”

You control

  • Whether calls are recorded at all
  • The wording of every disclosure
  • Which fields are collected and stored
  • Who receives the summary

Never happens

  • Legal advice or opinions on the merits
  • Accepting a matter on your behalf
  • Clearing a conflict
  • Sharing a call outside your account

What attorneys ask about intake calls

Does it give legal advice?

No. It collects information and routes the call.

Can it transfer urgent matters?

Yes, to a number or person you specify.

Does a call create an attorney–client relationship?

That is for your firm to decide. The assistant tells callers it cannot give advice or accept a matter, and that someone will follow up.

Is the call recorded?

Only if you enable it, with a disclosure to the caller.
