What it does
While a caller is on the line, Remute asks Google Calendar which times are busy and offers only the free ones. Nobody gets booked into a slot that is already taken.
When the call ends, the appointment shows up in the calendar you picked, usually within a minute. If you move or cancel it in Remute, the event moves or disappears in Google Calendar too.

Use cases
A clinic that books by phone
Patients ask for a time, the assistant offers what is free in the reception calendar and confirms one. The front desk just sees the new event.
A tradesperson on the road
Jobs land in your Google Calendar while you are on a roof. Your phone buzzes with the event, not with a missed call.
A team with a shared calendar
Pick the shared calendar for appointments and everyone sees the same schedule, whoever booked it and however they booked it.
How to connect
It takes about a minute. Only owners and admins can connect or disconnect a calendar.
- In Remute, open Integrations and choose Google Calendar.
- Click Connect Google Calendar and sign in with the Google account that owns the calendar.
- Accept the permissions Google shows. Remute asks to read your busy times and to create events.
- Back in Remute, pick the calendar appointments should go to, or leave the main one.
- Make a test call. The time you booked appears in the calendar and is no longer offered.

What is shared
Remute reads and writes only what it needs to book.
| What | Direction | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Busy and free times of the chosen calendar | Google to Remute | So the assistant never offers a taken slot |
| New appointment: date, time, contact, notes | Remute to Google | So the booking appears in your calendar |
| Moves and cancellations made in Remute | Remute to Google | So the event is updated or removed |
| Event details of your other meetings | Not read | Only busy and free times are requested |
Good to know
- Appointments go to one calendar at a time. To switch between Google Calendar and Outlook, disconnect the one in use first.
- If you disconnect, events already in your calendar stay there.
- Changes you make to an event directly in Google Calendar are not sent back to Remute.
Frequently asked questions
Does Remute see the details of my other events?
No. For availability it asks Google only which times are busy and which are free. It does not read titles, guests or notes of your other events.
What happens if two callers want the same time?
The calendar is checked on every call, and only one appointment can take a slot. The second caller is offered another time.
Can I use a different calendar from my main one?
Yes. After connecting, pick the calendar appointments should go to, for example a shared team calendar.
