How to connect Remute with Slack

Every finished call and every appointment appears in a Slack channel, so your team sees what happened without opening another tool.

Beta. This integration is in beta: it is built and ships with the app, but it has not been confirmed with a real account yet.

What it does

When a call finishes, Remute posts its outcome, a summary and a link to the call to the channel you choose. Appointments that are booked, moved or cancelled post too.

You decide what goes to Slack, calls, appointments or both. Messages include the caller's number and the summary of the call.

Posted when the call ends

Use cases

  • A shared front desk

Everyone in #reception sees new calls as they happen and nobody has to ask whether someone called back.

  • Urgent handoffs

A flagged call appears in the channel, and whoever is free replies with a thumbs-up and takes it.

  • A daily trail

Scroll the channel at the end of the day to see every call and booking in order.

How to connect

Use the one-click button when it is available, or paste a webhook URL. Only owners and admins can connect Slack.

  1. In Remute, open Integrations and choose Slack.
  2. Click Add to Slack and pick the channel. If you prefer the manual route, create an app at api.slack.com/apps (From scratch) and turn on Incoming Webhooks.
  3. For the manual route, click Add New Webhook to Workspace, pick the channel and copy the webhook URL that starts with https://hooks.slack.com/services/.
  4. Paste the URL in Remute and choose whether calls, appointments or both are posted.
  5. Use the test button. A message should appear in the channel.

Good to know

  • This integration is in beta and has not yet been confirmed with a real workspace.
  • Messages include the caller's number, so choose a channel the right people can see.
  • Disconnecting stops new posts; messages already in Slack stay there.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to be a Slack admin?

You need permission to add an app or an incoming webhook to the channel in your workspace. If you cannot, ask a workspace admin.

Can I choose what is posted?

Yes. Calls and appointments each have a switch, so you can post one or both.

Is it safe to put numbers in a channel?

Messages include the caller's number and summary, so use a channel limited to the people who should see them.
