Remute

How to connect Remute with Microsoft Teams

The same call and appointment updates, in the Teams channel your team already watches.

Beta. This integration is in beta: it is built and ships with the app, but it has not been confirmed with a real account yet.

What it does

When a call finishes, Remute posts its outcome, a summary and a link to the call to your Teams channel. Booked, moved and cancelled appointments post too.

You choose what goes to Teams, calls, appointments or both. Messages include the caller's number and the summary.

Use cases

  • A Microsoft 365 office

Reception, doctors and admin already live in Teams, so calls appear where they already talk.

  • Handing off urgent calls

A flagged call shows in the channel and a colleague can pick it up and say so in a reply.

  • A shared record

Keep a running, searchable channel of every call and booking for the team.

How to connect

Teams uses a Workflows webhook. Only owners and admins can connect it.

  1. In Teams, open the channel, click the three dots, then Workflows, and pick Post to a channel when a webhook request is received.
  2. Follow the steps and copy the URL it shows at the end.
  3. In Remute, open Integrations, choose Microsoft Teams and paste the URL.
  4. Choose whether calls, appointments or both are posted.
  5. Use the test button. A message should appear in the channel.

Good to know

  • This integration is in beta and was released without testing against a real Teams tenant.
  • Your organisation may restrict Workflows. If the option is missing, ask a Teams administrator.
  • Messages include the caller's number, so choose a channel the right people can see.

Frequently asked questions

Why a Workflows webhook?

It is the way Teams lets an outside service post to a channel. You create it once and paste its URL in Remute.

Is it tested?

It is labelled beta because it has not yet been confirmed against a real Teams tenant.

Can I post calls but not appointments?

Yes. Each has its own switch.
